1. About BillBuddy
BillBuddy is a bill storage and warranty reminder service for Indian households. We allow users to upload electronics bills, store them securely, and receive WhatsApp reminders before warranties expire.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BillBuddy's website and services. By signing up or using BillBuddy, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use BillBuddy. By using the service, you confirm that you are eligible and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and your WhatsApp number secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@billbuddy.in.
You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent any limits or restrictions.
4. What You Can Use BillBuddy For
BillBuddy is designed for personal, non-commercial use. You may use it to:
- Store bills and receipts for electronics you personally own
- Track warranty expiry dates for your household appliances
- Receive WhatsApp reminders about upcoming warranty expirations
- Share your vault with family members in the same household
5. What You Cannot Do
You agree not to:
- Upload bills, documents, or images you do not own or have rights to
- Use BillBuddy for any illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose
- Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful content
- Attempt to access other users' vaults or data
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the BillBuddy service
- Use BillBuddy for commercial resale or as part of another service
6. Your Content
You own the bills and documents you upload to BillBuddy. By uploading content, you grant BillBuddy a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the service to you.
We will never sell, share, or use your bill content for any purpose other than operating your personal vault.
7. Service Availability
BillBuddy is currently in early access. We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or improvements that temporarily affect access.
We will notify you of planned downtime via WhatsApp where possible.
8. Free and Paid Plans
During early access, BillBuddy is free for the first 500 users (up to 20 bills in storage). We may introduce paid plans in the future for unlimited storage or additional features.
You will always be given advance notice before any charges apply. You will never be charged without explicit consent.
9. Termination
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@billbuddy.in. We will process deletion within 7 business days.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.
10. Disclaimers
BillBuddy is provided "as is." While we take every precaution to keep your data safe, we cannot guarantee that the service will be error-free or that data will never be lost.
BillBuddy is a storage and reminder tool — we do not guarantee successful warranty claims. Whether a warranty claim is accepted depends on the manufacturer and retailer, not BillBuddy.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, BillBuddy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data or failed warranty claims.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in India.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as BillBuddy evolves. We will notify you of material changes via WhatsApp or email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes your acceptance.
